There are no "references" that I know of.  I doubt if you can find any
"research" on it.  The language has sneaked in a little at a time and
is often used by innocent people who don't even realize that they are
using the language of terrorists and thieves.  The language was
introduced to change the hearts and minds of the unsuspecting public.
 The language generally gives human characteristics to animals so that
it will seem reasonable that the animals also have rights equal to
humans. We were probably the very first to object to the language and
define it and recognize it's danger and the potential damage it can
do.  Some are quite outraged when we refused to accept it. A lot of
very innocent people use the language routinely without even
suspecting that they are making a verbal contribution to the total
elimination of human/animal relationships. Most people don't realize
that the ultimate agenda of the animal rights extremists is
elimination of all animals from human influence.
