A lot of people just think it's cute to use the language. Treating an
animal as an equal to a human is viewed to be "humane" or kind
hearted.  People speak the language putting their animal equal to
humans because they love their animals and feel that they are treating
them with the very highest respect.  They don't realize that they are
leading to their elimination.
