What's Up?: Wild pet ban dies, state declares exotic animal amnesty

Another great post. He's right. The "It's for your safety!" is definitely a sswindle by people in power to take away our rights and our happiness, whether it's attempts at banning exotic pets or trampolines, and yes, I've seen a news story about people who wanted to ban trampolines because somebody got hurt therefore they could be considered "dangerous" please!

When they started calling these bans "safety" laws they put forth one great big assumption. They gained one step against owners by stipulating that safety was a big deal-breaker. Any time that they could get the lawmakers to decide that there was the slightest bit of danger then they could get votes against the right of ownership.

This is the most obvious swindle in existence. Every activity by human or beast has some bit of danger attached to it. They've acquired the ability to ban one thing that is no more dangerous than what we don't ban.

We have to go back and actually consider the question of whether danger should be a criteria at all. Whoever is getting bans passed because a chimpanzee slams car doors has way too much power to abuse the idea, and this is abuse.
